You should not waste your time with MapQuest. Much better: maps.google.com. Give it a try.

Hehe ~ Thanks for the offer (and I will doubtless stumble and need bailing out at intervals!), but I did back-date it to August 13th:) I'm still trying to catch-up the blog. . .probably a losing battle.

I can show you how to change the entry's date since this is actually from a week or so ago, right? It's fairly easy to edit in WordPress, if you'd like me to show you.

Love,

- Shan

Comment on Goodbye, Sweet Sundance by Shannon

Sundance was definitely one of those pets that get their way a little deeper into your heart than the others. He was a wonderful companion and I, too, am glad that you guys were able to give him several more GOOD years of life, such that he got to meet and be loved by Sara. I know she will miss burying her face in his belly and chasing him around (something that, recently, I noticed he was less keen on indulging though he offered up his belly for head burying snuggles as recently as yesterday.) He was well loved and well cared for and went before things got utterly painful.

Justin and I dread the day when we have to say goodbye to one of our cats, since they have all been with us since we got married (Norton, since our apartment; Blanco since our first year in the house; Amiga's the newbie, adopted her I think on our 5 year wedding anniversary while in Dallas since Justin's sister-in-law was fostering strays at the time.

We love them and then, like kids, at some point we have to let them go. Sundance is now resting comfortably getting more scritches and cuddles than he could ever dream of, even in your loving household.

Hehe - since your sister and niece visited today, I can't successfully employ the "Mom filter". I imagine she has already texted, Twittered or e-mailed the ugly truth;)

Yeah, I really am O.K. - except that the purple bruises have now spread to all but the big toe, the swelling is rather remarkable, and the top of my foot is turning a light-but-unappetizing shade of green. It hurts like H_ll (it would feel better if I could stop banging the broken ones into solid objects!), but the cut/split/whatever is not inflamed or infected.

BTW - I'm answering this on "Pippin" (the MacBook you gave me) while Falkor recovers from a corrupted hard drive episode! The HP Home Server just paid for itself (it saved me from a mental meltdown!), and I'm thoroughly enjoying the Mac Experience!

I really should try requesting new recycle bins. . . . .Again! Since the original bins became brittle, mangled and unusable, we've made several requests for replacements. None of those requests received a response, but I suppose it is time to try again.

Very proud of you for doing this, and glad they are easier to carry to boot. I will need to look into whether our HEB (finally remodeled--took about 13+ MONTHS) is doing this. We're not on a terribly "green" side of town -- no recycle bins in OUR neighborhood (by the way, what happened to yours? I think you can ask them to drop off new ones.)
